On Getting Wealthy: The Act of Giving

Give what you can, give all that you can. The act of giving is the fastest way to manifest your desires. When you give, the universe gives it back to you sevenfold. LIFE and 'Everything there Is' is made up of energy. When you give energy, it will go bouncing back to you in multiples.

Give graciously and without grudge- it will bring you to the state of having enough of wealth, thus making the universe manifest that state through your physical environment. Being in a state of wealth gives you the kick-off to having more and doing more of the things related to wealth.

When you desire to have wealth, give wealth. Wealth is not only about money. It can be time, talent, a smile, a greeting. Imagine that what you are giving is energy. As you give, visualize the energy flowing from you to the being you are giving it to. Imagine the energy expanding as the receiver uses it, and imagine it even more expanded as it comes back to you from all directions.

The universe never misses to reward an act of sincere generosity.

Giving sincerely is like declaring to the Universe, "I AM PLENTY. I AM ABUNDANT."

As the sages have taught, the words "I AM" are powerful words. When done in full belief and certainty, it declares your inner state, and you manifest your inner state through your physical environment.

Say to yourself with full honesty, certainty and clarity, "I Am Wealth", and feel the energy transmit to the universe and begin attracting events, persons and circumstances to manifest your desires.

On Getting Wealthy: The Law of Attraction

So you want to get wealthy?

Who doesn't?

I have read loads of books and articles in that area. All of them tell the same thing,

"To have wealth, you must attract wealth."

This may not be first time you've heard about this concept but I'm sure you have not come again to this by coincidence. There are always new things to learn whether you read on the same topic or the same book for that matter.

So, I invite you to join me and let's begin the journey towards wealth!

The basic concept I will be sharing is the 'Law of Attraction'.

In the simplest way, the Law of Attraction States that,

"Like attracts like. You have attracted the very people, things, and events around you. You get more of what you always think about."

All of life is made up of energy. Energy is independent of space and time. And by the way, time (get ready for this!) is not real. Scientists know this for a fact. This is basic Quantum Physics. I will not get into the details of Quantum Physics for it is a different topic altogether and you can research deeper into this if you'd like, but for now I'll lay this concept in front of you for the purposes of our discussion.

Yes, whether you like it or not, the very things you have, the friends you go out with, your job, all of your current disposition, YOU HAVE ATTRACTED. Since everything is made up of energy, including your thoughts, every time you think about something or someone, you transmit energy. This energy dissipates in the universe and it either attracts or repel other energy patterns and the more you think about something, the greater the energy you transmit. So if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive energies. Likewise, if you think negative thoughts, you attract negative energies, and you either do this consciously , unconsciously, or subconsciously.

There are no coincidences in life. The complexity of the process of energy manipulation is what shapes the entire universe. Everything we see and experience is based on this process. That is why you are the one responsible for your life situation, however you deny it.

Knowing this simple principle is life changing. We can begin the transformation by fully accepting that we are responsible for all that we have gone through, even the things we don't like. We have to embrace our choices and take full responsibility. The simple act of denying this truth renders us powerless. It makes us victims and not creators. By embracing our choices, we acknowledge the power we've always had, the power of creation.

It has been said that God made us in his image and likeness, and it that sense, we are also creators. We are actually creating our lives. By taking full responsibility of our life we can begin to create a new one by using the Law of Attraction.

And that, my friend, is the road to travel to experience anything you've always wanted, including wealth.

So where to begin...

First, look around you. Look at your life. Is this the life you've always wanted to live? Are you living in the house you've ever desired living in. Do you earn much from what you are doing? Do you have the job you want? The husband you longed for? Do you like your current life situation? If yes, do you want to have and experience more but you think having more is very difficult from where you are standing?

Now, think of all the things you don't like about your life. Spend some time reviewing your affairs.

When you have finished reviewing your life and what you don't like about it, tell yourself,

"I have created everything I experience. I am grateful for all the choices I made and take full responsibility for my life. I forgive myself for my mistakes and acknowledge that they are part of my growth and am grateful for the lessons they bring. Now, I choose to create my life consciously and shape my own experiences."

These are powerful words. The very thought that you choose to create your own experience brings forth tremendous energy that you transmit to the whole universe. You have chosen to acknowledge the power within you.

This statement alone will begin to align your energy with the positive end of the energy spectrum. Feel the energy vibrate within you and all around you. This is the energy of desire. This is the type of energy you want to transmit if you want to attract wealth and abundance and this energy can be produced by thinking positive affirming thoughts. Thoughts of love, joy, oneness, forgiveness, peace, abundance are higher vibrational energies. These are the thoughts you want in your head if you want to live an abundant life.

From here on, watch your thoughts. Most of our thoughts are automatic and reactive, thanks to social brainwashing. Our thought patterns have been handed down from generation to generation making us vulnerable to negative reactions. Watching your thoughts is very essential when you want to attract wealth and abundance into your life. Try it, think about something positive now and observe your mind try to wrestle with that thought. It wants an argument, it reasons out, judges, criticizes. It wants drama. This is brought to us by thousands of years of conditioning. But this need not be and should not be if you choose to experience wealth. You should learn to quiet your mind. It is using too much energy and most of them are used in transmitting negative vibrations. Quieting the mind is not easy, like a muscle it must be trained and like all training you need to allot even a few minutes of your day in just watching your thoughts and discerning what you need to stop and pursue. You'll actually begin to learn more about yourself everytime you perform this exercise. I also recommend you learn meditation. It is a good tool in calming the mind and aligning us with our higher selves. A good book to read when you want to dig deeper into the subject of quieting the mind is "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. That book helped me years ago in my struggle with anxiety disorder.

When you have cleared your mind of unnecessary thoughts, you now have ample space to fill with positive ones. Before you do this, I recommend you write down all your desires, even simple ones. A house. A car. A pet. The type of partner you want. List them in a paper, or a journal and place them somewhere accessible. Make a habit of reading them at least once a day. As you read them, visualize yourself already having that 'thing'. If you desire a car, think about the model or color. Think about the smallest detail and reinforce these thoughts with feelings and emotions. Think about how it feels to have that car you've always wanted. Think about opening the door with your own keys, sitting back you feel the cool touch of leather on your body, the cool air coming from the air conditioner. Visualize this as vividly as possible. When you do this daily, you have done much. Be excited about how the universe will answer your thoughts. Definitely, it will! This is a universal law. If done with full certainty and positive expectation, it will never fail. Remember, you get more of what you always think about.

Here is a summary of the steps I have discussed in attracting wealth:

  • Think of the things you don't like about your life and accept full responsibility of having created them

  • Quiet your mind

  • List the things you dream of having

  • Visualize things you like and reinforce them with feelings and emotions. Feel as if you already have them.

  • Be excited!

I have used this technique in several occasions and it brings excellent results everytime.

You can also use the technique above to:

  • Learn a skill or sport

  • Find your dream partner

  • Increase your income

  • Gain/lose weight

  • Travel to places you only dream of traveling

  • Build a business

Actually, the sky is the limit when it comes to the application of this technique. It is up to you to decide how you want to live your life. This is the basic principle of getting wealth. I'll be posting more on this topic as I go along applying the principles. Watch out for future posts.

Live consciously and get wealthy!

First Post

I've been wanting to write my blog for months and was actually successful at several occasions in setting up one or two. But that (setting up) was just about it. After the setup process where the server tells you 'Congratulations geek, you can start blogging!', my fingers would freeze and my mind would start to wander through the astral realms of Flash Actionscript and Pesto pasta and my ambitious blog would be left by itself starving for a first entry.

It was only lately that I came to realize what was stopping me from writing that elusive first post. I looked inside and asked, "Why couldn't you write? Why couldn't you start?". By way of a subtle voice from within came a response, "I am not inspired. I don't think there is any significant event in my current life situation that is worth writing. I am living a boring life."

I began to reflect on the answers and agreed that, indeed, I view my current life situation as something not worthy of documenting, and those thoughts devoured all the energy I need in writing about them.

I divided these thoughts in two simple core issues:

1. BORING LIFE. I find my current life situation unexciting.
2. UNINSPIRED. I felt no inspiration in writing down entries about my existence.

Having listed the hindrances to writing, it was then easier for me to address the issues. As I look closely into Number 1, past experiences begin to surface one-by-one. Three years ago I almost died from drowning on a river with a friend if not for a local resident who was brave and smart enough to do the very thing I needed to survive; that was pushing me towards the top just enough for me to grasp for little air and began pushing me towards the direction of the river bank. It makes me shiver every time I relive that moment. A year after that, I suffered from Anxiety Disorder for barely a year which made me feel immobilized and hardly socially effective. There was a point where I could barely eat and sleep, always thinking that something bad is going to happen to me. It's amazing to learn (and I learned it the hard way) that these thoughts of fear can actually cause physical manifestations. I would begin to feel tightness in my chest for weeks, nausea, numbness and pain in different areas of my body. Those feelings made me (the core effect of anxiety disorder) think that there is something wrong with my body, that I have a heart disease, etc and that leads to more anxiety and more sensations. The fears fed the sensations and the sensations fed the fear and the cycle never ends. The ugliest side of anxiety disorder was that it brings with it certain phobias. It came to a point where I don't enjoy going to movies anymore (one thing I really loved before) because I became afraid of going to crowded places. The struggle with anxiety was a tough one but I conquered it, when most of the people I've heard have been struggling with it for decades and I really feel sorry for them. That is actually the point in my life that I hold dearest, because it transformed me to who I am now. It made me realize that the mind is a very powerful tool, too powerful that it can even destroy its master when it goes berserk. I realized that it I should be the one controlling my mind and not the other way around. There would be so much to tell from the anxiety disorder period of my life that I am afraid I would sway from my original topic. I'd probably put it on a separate entry though =).

So, where was I? Yes, experiences...

Having reviewed those experiences (apart from the many too long to even mention here) , I again asked myself "Were those experiences insignificant? Were those boring?" Maybe for some people the answer is yes. They'd probably think, "Nearly died? Worrying too much as to get sick? That's not interesting.", and then they go back to passing bills and implementing new tax rules =). But for me those were very interesting stories. So, my answer to myself was; maybe if I just looked deep enough, I would have realized that nothing was really insignificant. It was all part of the very complex and interesting process called 'life'. Each minute of each day of each month of each year, something excitingly real is happening within us. We have a life unfolding and we should never take these things for granted. They hold lessons that we could learn if we just quiet our minds and push the auto-pilot buttons off. These lessons will bring us the inspiration we need. Which brings me to second item on my list, inspiration. Searching deep within, feeling the vibrancy of life, looking at past experiences and not being attached to it but grasping all its essences to form new ones are the perfect elements to create those inspirations. Even those simple talks with your husband, the home works you have not accomplished, the deadlines to be met, seeing a rainbow, watching your 5-month old kid smile, sipping a perfectly made coffee on a misty morning... these are things that make life complete and infinitely brilliant.

So I encourage you to look deep into your self, no matter who or where or what you are doing. You are a life unfolding. Start living. Be inspired! :-)
